The defeat of Majin Buu came with many costs and trials. Once the terrible creature was freed, Babidi took it all over the Earth. The Earth's population was decimated as Buu turned people into treats. There were few that escaped Buu's wrath; even Babidi was slain by Buu. The Earth's savior, Hercule, was among them. Unfortunately, even Earth's 'hero' couldn't keep Buu calm for long. Vicious humans caused a split between the newly good Buu and an evil incarnate. Botan was alone—downtrodden and panicked after she took Genkai’s spirit to Spirit World. The ferry girl still couldn’t believe she had been tasked with guiding one of her loved ones away. Even though it was her job and she was used to ferrying souls of the dead, Botan never expected it to be someone she cared about. Of course, her position was extremely rare. After all, she was the first assistant to the spirit detective, and the only ferry girl to spend so much time in the living world. When she sensed Genkai’s life fade, Botan was a wreck. She met with Koenma to report, but she couldn’t stand any of it. Yusuke’s grief was so immense as was her own. It didn’t matter, all the training Botan went through, all the knowledge that Genkai was safe and that she was the one who made sure of it—none of it. It was a bright and sunny day. Hiei found himself on a beach with Botan. He didn’t know why the woman would want to come to this rowdy place when they could have just gone to Genkai’s. Still, he didn’t complain. Much. He was both enamored and flustered by the fact that Botan decided to wear such revealing clothing. He was certain this tiny, pink bikini thing was no better than her underwear. Still, his one thought was how he wanted to feel her skin on his lips. He mentally kicked himself for it afterwards. It was a hot, summer day, completely stale and humid. The heat was so intense that everyone was warned to stay inside for the past couple of days. Botan continued to fan herself and wore practically nothing in the apartment. She was thankful for her air conditioner, but it didn’t seem to chase away the heat. By mid-afternoon, though, clouds started to form and broke the heatwave. Now, the weather was beautiful. Botan’s communication mirror rang, and her brow quirked in surprise. Who would be calling her? A smile graced her features where she saw a face she hadn’t seen in a while. “Yusuke!” she chimed happily. “Yo, Botan, what’s up?” her friend greeted. When he brought her to the middle of nowhere, Botan had no idea what Hiei wanted from her. As he practically pounced on her, the fire demon’s intention became a bit clearer. Halloween in Elementary Years

I don't remember how old I was, but I remember I was in elementary school. Mom took me and my step-sister trick or treating where my step-sister lived, around our apartment complex, and where my grandparents lived. Then, she and my stepfather had all our friends come over for a Halloween party. There were all sorts of games like bobbing for apples and pin the face on the pumpkin made out of velcro (I still have it). We even had a ghost pinata. Only the bottom came out, so me and my stepsister kept the ghost part for a loooooooong time. XD I can't remember what we were that year, but I remember the party a lot. That was probably one of my favorite Halloweens ever. In the future when I have kids of my own, I'd like to do something like that for them. :)
